Welcome to Balboa Island
Balboa Island is an iconic Newport Beach destination that seems as if God designed it to be the quintessential beach town postcard photo. Ironically, it’s actually a man-made island that began as a sand bar in 1825. Now, this nostalgic island is filled with vintage and contemporary beach homes, boutique shops and eateries, and a boardwalk that surrounds the Island. It even has a 3-car ferry, a favorite of my wife, that you can take across the harbor to the Fun Zone on the Balboa Peninsula. You can shop along Marine Avenue, play in the sand, set off on a multitude of water-based adventures, go fishing off the public docks or just walk around the boardwalk taking in the harbor and the beautiful homes. Visitors come from all over the world each year to take in this piece of beachside Americana and we have the unique privilege of living here all year round.
